The Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs), as the successor to the Millennium Development Goals(MDGs), launched in 2001, are the Global Goals to build a better and more sustainable world by 2030, adopted by the United Nations in September 2015. The SDGs consisting of 17 goals and 169 targets promise to leave no one behind. The goals are universal frameworks applicable to all countries and Japan also promotes efforts to achieve SDGs.
Through steel-making based on recycling resources, we are committed to creating a sustainable society.

♦ Reducing impacts of climate change and air pollution
  • We contribute to the circular economy by consistently providing sustainable high-quality steel plates which are produced through the 3R-based(Reduce-Reuse-Recycle) manufacturing process.
♦ Saving Energy
  • We always consider the environmental impact of our business on society and consistently work to save energy and resource in our operations and improve facilities. Raising awareness of environmental responsibility, we aim to co-develop with the local community.
  • Our solar photovoltaic(PV) panels help generate renewable energy.
  • With the use of LED lighting fixtures, we reduce electricity consumption in our company.

  • We promote 3Rs(Reduce, Reuse, Recycle)of by-products in the manufacturing process.

  • For water resource management, we work to reuse industrial water and prevent wastewater overflows.
